Santos Goal Keys 5-0 Win for Lenox

CHESHIRE, Mass. -- Zilion Santos beat three defenders and finished into the upper corner to break a 0-0 tie late in the first half for Lenox, which went on to a 5-0 win over Hoosac Valley on Monday.
 
Santos’ goal in the 33rd minute was followed by a Luke Murphy goal midway through the second half to make it 2-0.
 
At that point, Hoosac Valley started pressing up and giving up more scoring opportunities. The Millionaires (6-2-1) cashed in with goals by Ian Laurin, Zachary Suffish and Santos.
 
Matt Tibbetts stopped one shot to earn the shutout.
 
Jaydin Cooper made two stops for Hoosac Valley (2-3-1), which hosts Monument Mountain on Thursday.
 
Lenox goes to Pope Francis on Friday.
