ADAMS, Mass. -- The Hoosac Valley girls soccer team cruised to a 9-0 win against Drury Thursday night at Renfrew Field.

This was the second meeting between these two sides and the outcome had a similar result. Hoosac (2-1) started the game off with some good possession and a lot of early shots, but the Drury (1-3) girls didn’t budge.

It wasn’t until midway through the the first half before Sarah Field found Allie Mendel for the game’s opening goal. With constant pressure Hoosac was able to add another goal 14 minutes later with a hard shot from Ellie field that was saved into the path of Sarah Field for the tap in. It was the second goal that really got things going for Hoosac as it added two more in quick succession from Ellie Field and Allie Mendel. The ‘Canes would go into the break up, 4-0.

Hoosac would come out in the second half dominating possession once again moving the ball really well from side to side. Riley Robinson would find the back of the net after a nice move into the box. Kelsey Bulson drew a foul in the box and buried her own penalty just before Chloe Martel, Shaleigh Levesque, and Grace Kronick got on the score sheet.

Drury’s Alyssa Russell was tested all game long with 23 shots saving 8 of them, while Hoosac Valley’s Kelsey Bulson, and Ellie Field combined for four saves.

Hoosac Valley will now host Lee on Sept. 18 at home, While Drury will play Mount Anthony at home Sept. 19.
