Mount Anthony Girls Come Back, Top Drury

BENNINGTON, Vt. --The Mount Anthony Union girls soccer team Tuesday scored three second-half goals to earn a 4-2 win over Drury. 
 
Drury opened the scoring in the fourth minute when freshman Elli Miles centered the ball for classmate Kayla McGrath, who finished near post.
 
The Patriots leveled in the 23rd minuted when Catherine Worthington assisted Jordan Mattison.
 
Drury took the lead again in the 35th minute, this time senior Hayley Shook lofted a ball to McGrath. Drury held the 2-1 lead into halftime.
 
In the second half, Mount Anthony’s Junior Keana Gauthier scored unassisted in the second minute to level the score. The score remained 2-2 until, with 12 minutes remaining, Rebecca Crosier scored from an assist by Ella Cichanowski. In the closing minutes Mt. Anthony added an insurance goal directly off a corner by Jordan Mattison for the 4-2 victory.
 
Mount Anthony keeper Madison Breese had seven saves in the win.
 
Drury keeper Mackenzie Dobbert had 12 saves in the loss.
 
Drury (5-8) hosts Monument Mountain on Wednesday.
