Simone's Hat Trick Lifts Lee Girls

LEE, Mass. -- Lena Simone had a hat trick Wednesday to lead the Lee High girls soccer team to a 4-1 win over Taconic.
 
Ellie Miller and Simone scored unassisted goals to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead midway through the first half.
 
Ashlynn Healey then cut Taconic’s deficit in half with an assist from Sydnie Sherman.
 
But Simone extended the lead with a pair of second-half goals, and Halle Miller stopped eight shots to make the lead stand up.
 
Leeyia Hoose stopped six shots for Taconic (3-7), which goes to Mount Greylock on Friday.
 
Lee (3-7) is at Mount Everett on Monday.
