SOUTHWICK, Mass. -- Lydia Kinsman scored a pair of goals and set up the game-winner in the 51st minute Saturday to lead the Rams to a 3-2 win over Hoosac Valley.

Maddie Vigna had a goal and an assist, and Ellie Field scored for the Hurricanes (9-4-1), who played well in spite of the outcome, according to coach Kathy Budaj.

“Sometimes in the game of soccer, it comes down to converting your chances and they were able to convert on theirs and we did not convert enough to get the win,” Budaj said. “This game had the feel of a Western Mass playoff and I feel we did well.”

Kailynne Frederick stopped four shots for Hoosac Valley, which goes to Mount Greylock on Monday.
