Hoosac Valley Girls Blank Pittsfield on Road

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Grace Kronick made five saves to backstop the Hoosac Valley girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Pittsfield on Thursday afternoon.
 
Claudia Bresett score the game-winner with an assist from Cairagan Greene in the first half. Chloe Martel added an insurance goal after half-time.
 
"Overall, it was a great game," Hoosac Valley coach Kathy Budaj said. "It is always nice when you get a win against a [Berkshire County] North Division team.
 
"The division is very strong, and the girls are working well together and being more patient."
 
Mia Alfonso made 10 saves for the Generals (1-9-1), who host Taconic on Saturday.
 
Hoosac Valley (5-6-1) goes to Mount Everett on Friday.
