LENOX, Mass. -- Lenox’s Sophie Patella made 13 saves, and Monument Mountain’s Helen Pajeski stopped eight shots as their teams tied, 0-0.

“Great defensive effort and organized play from both sides today led to a scoreless draw,” Lenox coach Kyle Zinchuk said. “I thought in the first half we played a little tentatively and Monument took advantage and held possession for much of the first half. However, I was pleased with our response in the second half as we were able to play more aggressively and put pressure on Monument's defense more often.”

Zinchuk pointed to Zufan Bazzano’s speed on the wing and Aubrey Blanchard’s strong game in the middle as a couple of the elements that gave the Millionaires’ defense trouble.

“Nanni Santos, Kat Nichols, and Kristin Parkinson did a great job for us defensively to limit those opportunities though,” he said.

Lenox (5-5-3) goes to Drury on Monday.

Monument Mountain (7-2-4) travels to Hoosac Valley on Tuesday.
