LENOX, Mass. -- Mary Elliot scored twice, and Nicole Gamberoni had a goal and two assists Wednesday to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 4-0 win over Pope Francis on Wednesday.

Julie Pehlert got things going with the game-winning goal on an assist from Gamberoni midway through the first half.

“In the first half, we were moving the ball well, maintaining possession and generating several good scoring opportunities but I was disappointed that over the first 20 minutes, we were not very clinical in our attempts at finishing those opportunities,” Lenox coach Kyle Zinchuk said. “Eventually we started to convert our chances.”

Sophie Patella made six saves for the Millionaires (7-5-3) who go to McCann Tech on Wednesday.
