LUDLOW, Mass. -- Craig Jackson led three Pittsfield Generals in double figures with 15 points Monday as PHS opened the season with an 80-46 win over Ludlow.

“Today's game was what we had hoped for in our season opener,” Pittsfield coach Brandon Mauer said. “Good defensive pressure all the way around from our guys and a balanced attack. Ludlow came out and played with a lot of effort and intensity, but the defensive pressure had them turnover the ball early.”

Carter Matthews and Kymani Harley each scored 13, and 11 different Generals contributed points as Pittsfield built a 74-28 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Pittsfield (1-0) goes to Holyoke on Thursday.
