PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Drury High School bowling team defeated McCann Tech, 21-10, on Friday at Ken's Bowl to drop the Hornets into second place in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League.

Zach Yeaton led the way for Drury with a 237 game and 452 series.

Despite the win, McCann's margin of victory was not large enough to maintain its lead over Lee High, which had the week off.

Lee has won 75 percent of the points possible in its matches this winter; McCann has won 69 percent of the points in its matches.

The Wildcats will look to hold their lead in a pivotal match on Tuesday at Greylock Bowl and Golf in North Adams.

On Friday at Ken's, McCann's Kalley Vanuni recorded the top game (229) and top series (383) among the girls.

The top game on the boys side was recorded by A.J. Moore, who rolled a 279 for third-place Pittsfield in the Generals' 24-7 win over Mount Everett.

Tom Hankey Jr. of Monument Mountain had the week's high series with a 483, but the Spartans fell to Taconic, 22-9.

The week's closest match was a 17-14 win for Mount Greylock over the Lee Orange squad. Taylor Callahan rolled a 196 game and 367 series to help the Mounties earn the win.
