Lee Bowlers Top McCann Tech at Cove Lanes

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- J.T. Sorrentino rolled a 262 to lead the Lee High bowling team to a 24-18 win over McCann Tech on Friday as positional play in the Berkshire County League opened at Cove Lanes.
 
The Wildcats also got a 256 from Devyn Olds to help hold onto the top spot in a battle of the top two teams in the league standings.
 
McCann Tech'a Austin Davine rolled a 453 series, and Kalley Vanuni posted a 383 for the Hornets.
 
Taconic's Lynsey Aldam had the best game (256) and best series (449) among the girls, helping her team tie Mount Greylock, 12-12 in a battle of the fifth- and sixth-ranked teams.
 
Taylor Callahan rolled a 233 game and a 418 series for the Mounties.
 
The fourth-place team coming into the week, Drury, beat third-place Pittsfield, 12-6, to take over the No. 3 spot in the rankings.
 
Zach Yeaton rolled a 249 for the Blue Devils, who got a 233 from Allison Brassard and a 231 from Aleasia Yeaton.
 
The week's top game and top series were turned in by Monument Mountain's Tom Hankey Jr., who rolled a 279-268--547 to lead the Spartans to a 12-0 win over the Lee Orange team.

Positional play continues Friday at Ken's in Pittsfield.
