MacWhinnie, Drury Icers Top Mount Everett

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Hoby MacWhinnie scored twice and set up a goal Wednesday to lead the Drury hockey team to a 9-5 win over Mount Everett at the Peter W. Foote Vietnam Veterans Memorial Rink.
 
Drury took control of the Wright Division contest by outscoring the Eagles, 4-1, in the second period.
 
After Andrew Conlon scored for Mount Everett to break a 3-3 tie to start the period, Drury answered 17 seconds later when Corbin Rumbolt set up Toby Ellingwood for the tying goal.
 
Ben McColgan scored to give Drury a 5-4 lead, and Brennan McGowan and MacWhinnie each lit the lamp to push the lead to 7-4.
 
Rumbolt and Mitch Andrews each tacked on a goal in the third to help put the game away.
 
Dylan Boomsma scored twice for Mount Everett, which got a couple of assists from Jake Corcoran.
 
Rumbolt had a goal and two assists for Drury.
 
Corey Callandar stopped 20 shots in the win for Drury.
 
Jack Seward-Dailey and Cole Duval combined to stop 18 shots for Mount Everett.
