Berkshire Bowling League Sets Stage for Friday's Playoffs

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Drury bowling team edged Lee, 19-12, on Friday at Ken's Bowl to hold onto the top seed in Friday's Berkshire County League playoffs.
 
Kayla Field had the high series among girls with a 420 to lead the Blue Devils, who will be seeded first on Friday afternoon when the league convenes at Greylock Bowl and Golf in North Adams.
 
The top five teams in the 10-team league advanced to the playoffs after two weeks of positional play the last two weeks.
 
In Friday's first round St. Joseph will roll against Pittsfield in a best-of-seven Baker System match to earn the right to play Drury in the semi-finals. The other semi-final will feature second-seeded Lee against No. 3 Taconic.
 
The winners of the semis will meet to determine the county championship.
 
Last week at Ken's, St. Joe's Jordan Kinnas had the high game (268) and high series (493) to lead the Crusaders to a 22-9 win over Wahconah.
 
Drury's top game was rolled by Zach Yeaton with a 241.
 
Lee's Sam Farina had the high game among girls with a 224.
 
Taconic knocked off Pittsfield, 25-6, to secure the third seed and avoid the first-round match. Richard Garwood rolled the second-highest game of the day (248) to lead Taconic.
