McCann Tech Clinches Regular Season Bowling Title

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Brandon Vallone rolled a 265 game and 478 series Friday to lead the McCann Tech bowling team to a 27-4 win over Lee as the Hornets wrapped up the regular season title in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League.
 
McCann, 8-0, secured its two-game lead on Wahconah (6-2), which beat Monument Mountain, 27-4, on Friday.
 
Aleasia Yeaton backed up Vallone with a 231 game and 405 series.
 
Lee got a 174 game and 303 series from Anthony Delsaldato.
 
Wahconah held onto second place ahead of Monument Mountain (5.5-2.5) and Pittsfield, who are tied for third place.
 
Wahconah Friday was led by Alex White (235-245--480) with  day's best series.
 
Tom Hankey Jr. (218-238--456) led the Spartans.
 
Lynsey Aldam (256-209--465) paced Taconic in a 24-7 win over Mount Everett, which got a 201 game and 386 series from Tucker Wilkinson.
 
Friday's fourth match saw Pittsfield shut out Mount Greylock, 31-0, behind a 460 series (220-230) from A.J. Moore. The Mounties were led by Taylor Callahan (189-195--384).
 
The league plays its positional round on Friday at Cove Lanes, where McCann will face Wahconah and Pittsfield takes on Monument in the final event before the March 2 county championship in North Adams.
