ADAMS, Mass. -- Ryan Baran carded a 43 to earn a 3-1 win at No. 1, take medalist honors and lead the McCann Tech golf team to a 21-2 win over Pathfinder at Forest Park Country Club.

“It was a good start to the season and a nice win,” McCann Tech coach Justin Kratz said. “Ryan Baran anchored us well in the 1 spot and then our lineup from there is all pretty equal caliber players so it makes us pretty even 2-6 which is an advantage for us as a team.

“We’re looking forward to them dropping a few strokes as we knock some of the rust off, which should help us have a pretty solid season I think.”

Matt Jette and Nash Morin also cracked 50 with a pair of 49s. The Hornets picked up individual wins at every spot with Chris Rose, Dalton Tatro and Keaton West rounding out the scoring.

McCann Tech is home against Westfield Tech on Friday.
