McCann Tech Bowlers Move into Third Place in League

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The Berkshire County High School Bowling League Tuesday rolls into North Adams with three North County teams atop the league standings.
 
Christopher Bostwick Friday rolled a 383 series to help the McCann Tech Hornets move into third place in the 10-team league with a 25-6 win over Monument Mountain.
 
The victory allowed McCann Tech to pass the Spartans with 106 points on the season.
 
The Drury Blue Devils retained the first-place spot, while Mount Greylock held onto second.
 
Drury (129 points) earned a 24-7 win over Mount Everett at Cove Lanes behind Zach Yeaton, who rolled the day’s top series with a 482 and had the day’s second-highest game with 247.
 
The Mounties (123 points) kept pace with Drury by beating the Lee Black team, 23-8. Taylor Callahan had a 341 series and the day’s second highest game among the girls, a 185, to lead Mount Greylock.
 
The day’s top game and series among the girls was turned in by Taconic’s Lynsey Aldam, who rolled a 200-364. But her team fell to Lee, which was paced by Zach Reynolds, who had the day’s high game, a 257.
 
A.J. Moore of Pittsfield recorded Friday’s third-best game (245) and third-best series (413) to help the Generals earn a 27-4 win over Wahconah.
 
On Tuesday at Greylock Bowl & Golf, first-place Drury faces Monument Mountain while the Mounties take on Mount Everett and the Hornets face a challenge from Lee.
