McCann Tech Golfers Earn Shutout Win
ADAMS, Mass. -- Cole Kratz carded a 5-over-par round of 39 Tuesday to earn medalist honors and lead the McCann Tech golf team in a 24-0 win over Springfield Central at Forest Park Country Club.
Ryan Baran turned in a solid round with a 43, and the Hornets also got wins from Matt Jette (48), Sam Ingalls (53), Logan Tower (53) and Nick Thayer (52).
“It was a solid effort from all the guys, 1-6,” McCann Tech coach Justin Kratz said. “This puts us one match away from qualifying for Western Mass at 6-2 overall on the season so far.
“Today was the beginning of seven matches in nine days, so there’s a lot of golf to play as we hopefully qualify and gear up for Western Mass.”
McCann continues its busy schedule Thursday at Mohawk Trail.
