Corcoran Scores in OT to Lift Mount Everett Icers

WASHINGTON, Conn. -- The Mount Everett hockey team defeated Shepaug Monday evening in a 5-4 overtime win.
 
After regulation time, the score was tied, 4-4. After the Eagles killed an early power play, Mount Everett forward Jake Corcoran took the puck end to end on a breakaway and finished the game with a shot on the goalie, glove side.
 
Corcoran finished the game with a goal in the first period along with an assist ib Noah Hunter's goal. Corcoran's first goal was assisted by Jake Malicky.
 
Hunter put in another in the third along with a goal from Peter Lovejoy; both were unassisted.
 
Jonah Swotes made 25 saves for Mount Everett.
