WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Jake Corcoran scored his fourth goal of the game with 3 minutes, 48 seconds left to lead Mount Everett to a 6-5 win over St. Mary's on Monday.

Samantha Hoover made a strong pass to Corcoran on the game-winner, which came afer Jacob Malicky scored with 4:29 left to tie the back-and-forth game.

"It was a fast-paced game that saw both offenses getting quality opportunities throughout the game," Mount Everett coach Aidan Gilligan said.

St. Mary's scored first when Andrew Booth netted the first of his three goals.

Corcoran tied it, but St. Mary's went ahead, 2-1 going into the first intermission.

In the second, Malicky tied it, but St. Mary's answered to take another lead, 3-2 into the third period.

The hosts increased that margin to 4-2 before Corcoran scored back-to-back short-handed goals nine seconds apart.

Both completed his hat trick to make it 5-4, but the Eagles were able to pull out the win in the end.
