Mount Everett Girls Tennis Edges Mount Greylock

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Julia Groeher won a three-setter at third singles Wednesday to help the Mount Everett girls tennis team edge Mount Greylock, 3-2.
 
Groeher came from behind to beat Charlotte Sanford, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
 
The Eagles also earned a three-set win at second doubles, where Shelby Tinker and Ashley Kerzner came back to beat Mia Van Deurzen and Hannah Gilooly, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
 
Mount Everett’s third point came from Madeline Van Ruden, with a 6-3, 6-0 win at second singles.
 
Mount Greylock got a straight-set win at first singles, where Isabel Northington beat Maya Neski, 6-1, 6-2. At first doubles, the Mounties’ Orianna Van Slycke and Emma Stankiewicz won, 6-3, 6-2.
