Taconic Boys 12th at Brown University Cross Country Invitational

EAST GREENWICH, R.I. -- Taconic junior Jacob Paris finished in 13th place to lead his team to a 12th-place finish in the Varsity Division 1 class at the Brown Northeast Invitational on Saturday at Goddard Park East.
 
Paris covered the 5-kilometer course in 16 minutes, 36.69 seconds, about a minute behind victor Tom Cirrito of Miller Place (N.Y), who crossed the line in 15:35.57, 13 seconds ahead of the field.
 
As a team, Taconic finished with 289 points. New York’s Goshen High School won the division with 99 points.
 
Taconic’s Mike Lafreniere finished 32nd overall with a time of 17:10.86. Other runners scoring for the team were Brandon Pelkey (17:35.35), Zabion Powell (18:05.54) and Thomas Rabasco (18:37.78).
