Smith, Roeder Lead Mount Greylock to Pair of Wins

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Mount Greylock's Brayden Smith and Paul Roeder each carded rounds of 6-over-par 41 Monday at Berkshire Hills Country Club as the Mounties won a pair of dual matches against Monument Mountain and Taconic.
 
Taconic also picked up a dual win behind a 39 from Andrew King, who birdied the par-5 fourth hole en route to earning medalist honors.
 
Mount Greylock edged Taconic, 170-173, scoring rounds of 43 from Xander Art and 45 from Owen Petropulos and Ben Prescott.
 
Mount Greylock beat Monument Mountain, 170-190.
 
Taconic's King was backed up by Nate Murphy (44), Shamus Hayes (45) and Nick Slocik (45).
 
Taconic beat the Spartans, 173-190.
 
Monument was led by Brady Whalen with a 44. The Spartans also scored rounds from Ben Shultis (45), Andrew Churchill (47) and Noah Kisiel (54).
 
Mount Greylock hosts Lee on Tuesday while Monument Mountain goes to Hoosac Valley.
