Taconic Girls, Wahconah Boys Earn Dual Meet Wins

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Delaney Ivas and Ashlee Languis were double winners Wednesday to lead the Taconic girls swim team to a 104-66 win over Wahconah at the YMCA.
 
Ivas won the 200-meter individual medley in 2 minutes, 59.51 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:25.29. Languis won the 500 freestyle (5:46.81) and the 100 breaststroke (1:35.66).
 
Taconic’s girls swept the relays and got individual wins in the 200 free from Olivia Bordeau (2:56.54) and the 100 backstroke from Mikayla Moss, who qualified for the Western Mass meet in the event with a time of 1:20.12.
 
In the boys meet, Noah Schweitzer, Jack Pudlo and Fred Sears each picked up a win in contested heats to lead Wahconah to a 68-18 win.
 
Schweitzer won the 200 freestyle in 2:21.47. Pudlo won the 50 free (29.06), and Sears won the 100 free (1:06.88). Austin White won the 500 free (5:22.51) for Taconic, which did not field a team in any of the relays.
