Taconic Girls Swim Team Edges New Lebanon on Road

NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- The Taconic girls swim team’s 4-by-100-yard relay quartet captured first place Friday to clinch a 50-44 win over New Lebanon.
 
Olivia Bourdeau, Mikayla Moss, Ashlee Langois and Delaney Ivas teamed up to post a time of 4 minutes, 30.35 seconds, beating the hosts by 10 seconds.
 
New Lebanon’s boys picked up their first dual meet win of the year, topping Taconic, 22-16.
 
In the girls meet, Taconic got individual wins from Moss in the 50 freestyle (29.07) and 100 backstroke (1:12.33), Ivas in the 100 butterfly (1:14.09) and 100 breaststroke and Langois in the 500 free (6:36.00).
 
New Lebanon’s girls won the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay. Catherine Roden swam on both winning relays and won the 200 freestyle in 2:37.07.
 
In the boys meet, Taconic’s Gabriel Beamon won the 50 free (28.50) and 100 free (1:05.86) -- the only two contested events in the meet.
