Tobin Leads St. Joseph Girls Swimming Past Taconic

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jessie Tobin won the 500-yard freestyle and the 200 individual medley on Wednesday to lead the St. Joseph girls swimming team to a 56-38 win over Taconic at the Boys & Girls Club.
 
Tobin clocked a time of 5 minutes, 28.28 seconds in the 500 and swam 2:21.22 in the 200 IM.
 
St. Joseph also got wins from Salem Choquette in the 200 freestyle (2:39.84), Theresa Kirsimagi in the 100 butterfly (1:09.61), Ellie Field in the 100 free (:58.75), Kendra Gallagher in the 100 backstroke (1:15.47) and Kate Bernardy in the 100 breaststroke (1:25.24).
 
Taconic's Delaney Ivas won the 50 free in :28.73.
 
There were just three events contested in the boys meet, won by St. Joe by a score of 17-13. Bailey DiSanti was a double winner for the Crusaders, picking up wins in the 50 free (:26.56) and 100 free (1:00.72).
 
Austin White won the 500 free (6:01.22) for Taconic.
