Poripski Leads Taconic Icers Past Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Steve Poripski had a goal and three assists Monday to lead the Taconic hockey team to a 5-2 win over Mount Everett.
 
Taconic took a 3-2 lead into the third period but got insurance goals by Mason Alfonso (off a Poripski assist) and Poripski (assisted by Alfonso and Brandon Peaslee).
 
Ryan LaPierre scored back-to-back goals in the first period to erase an early 1-0 Mount Everett lead. Nikos Gian scored the other Taconic goal.
 
Dylan Boomsma had a goal and an assist for the Eagles, who also got a goal from Jake Corcoran.
 
Jake Risley and Quinn Kearns split time in the Taconic goal, registering 17 saves. Cole Duval made 33 stops for Mount Everett.
