Unbeaten Hoosac Golfers Qualify for Western Mass

ADAMS, Mass. -- Derek Alibozek carded a 3-over-par 37 on Thursday to win medalist honors and lead the Hoosac Valley golf team to victory in a battle of unbeatens against Lee.
 
The Hurricanes improved to 7-0 this season and qualified for the Western Massachusetts team championship.
 
Alibozek recorded birdies on the 157-yard, par-3 third hole and the 277-yard, par-4 ninth hole.
 
Lee’s Hunter Roosa finished one off Alibozek’s pace with a 38 to finish second, but Hoosac Valley took the match, 166-174.
 
Henry Sniezek (40), Luc Trombley (43) and Colby Rougeau (46) scored for the Hurricanes.
 
Roosa was backed up by Thomas Fraser with a 40 and Colin Finnegan and Dylan Ely at 47 and 49, respectively.
 
Hoosac Valley goes to Mount Greylock on Tuesday, when Lee hosts Drury.
