Daley, Defoe Lead Wahconah Girls to Victory

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Summer Daley and Michaela Defoe were double winners to help lead the Wahconah High girls swimming team to a 98-72 win over Taconic Hills, N.Y., on Wednesday night.
 
Daley won the 200-yard individual medley in 3 minutes, 3.3 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:22.9. Defoe won the 100 freestyle in 1:09.2 and the 100 backstroke in 1:19.8.
 
Other winners for Wahconah included Annalise Cramer in the 200 free (2:47.5), Emma Doane in the 50 free (35.3) and Lucy Sears in the 100 breaststroke (1:34.4).
 
In the boys meet, Wahconah’s Noah Schweitzer and Miles Cramer each notched at least a win, but Taconic Hills won the numbers game, taking a 40-24 victory.
 
Schweitzer swam the 200 free (2:28.2) and 100 breaststroke (1:29.9), taking first in both. Cramer won the 100 free (1:03.6) and finished second in the 100 back (1:20.8).
