Gilooly, Mount Greylock Golfers Top Monument Mountain

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Ben Gilooly carded a 47 Friday to lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 202-211 win over Monument Mountain at Waubeeka Golf Links.

 

Max Joyner took medalist honors for the Spartans, carding a 42 that included a birdie on the par-5 eighth hole.

 

But the Mounties' depth prevailed as Owen Petropolus (50), Alexander Axt (52) and Lillie Defreitas (53) backed up Gilooly.

 

Monument scored rounds from Curt Wilton (54), Brady Whalen (57) and Shea Hull (58) and Ben Schultis (58).

 

Monument Mountain goes to Wahconah on Monday. Mount Greylock is home against Taconic on Tuesday.
