Mount Greylock Boys, Pittsfield Girls Win on Court

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Mount Greylock boys tennis team defeated Pittsfield, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
 
In the girls match, the Generals knocked off the Mounties, 4-1.
 
In the boys singles, Nyein Soe beat Pittsfield's Evan Dempsey, 6-0, 6-0. Will Nolan for Greylock also did not drop a game against Noah Beckwith.
 
Mount Greylock's Josh Narey edged Kale Hould in a super tiebreak, 6-3, 2-6, 10-8.
 
In doubles, Greylock's Jake Foel and Gray Kaegi beat Austin Pedercini and Brian Desrodlen in two sets. Matt Wiseman and Brady Foel for the Mounties defeated Mike Gimlewicz and Sam Heisecke, 6-4, 6-2.
 
On the girls side, Taylor Turner defeated Tara Shastri at first singles, 6-2, 2-6, 10-7.
 
Sharanya Ganesh and Kaytlin Barcus earned straight set wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively.
 
PHS's Anna Worley and Anna Black won first doubles, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0.
 
In second doubles, Mount Greylock's Oriana Van Slyke and Josie Dalsin won, 6-3, 6-3.
