DALTON, Mass. -- Ben Gilooly carded a 40 Thursday at Wahconah Country Club to lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 185-208 win over Wahconah.

Gilooly tied for medalist honors with Wahconah’s Nate Dos Santos.

Tenley Smith and Braden Smith finished at 47 and 48, respectively, and Connor Daley carded a 50 for the Mounties.

“It was another tough outing for our team,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “I think the pressure of trying to make Western Mass made our kids tight. From a growth standpoint, this will be a good learning experience for our younger players.”

Wahconah started the day needing one win to reach the sectional tournament. It has one more chance to get that win next week at Lee.

Victoria Orlandi, Daniel Wilson and John-Michael Kowalczyk each carded a 56 to back up Dos Santos.

The Berkshire County League’s best golfers will compete as individuals on Sunday at Stockbridge Golf Club at the Berkshire Classic, moved from Columbus Day weekend due to weather.
