St. Joe Boys, Girls Swim Past New Lebanon

NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- The St.Joe boys and girls swim team defeated New Lebanon High School Monday afternoon.
 
The girls won, 69-25, and on the boys end the final score was 27-20.
 
Elizabeth Bernardy and Elizabeth Bartlett finished first and second in the 200 freestyle with times of 2 minutes, 13.27 seconds and 2:20.30.
 
Julia Whitney finished first with a time of 2:36.05 in the 200 medley. Theresa Kirsimagi had a time of 1:11.83 in the 100 butterfly for first place. Jessie Tobin came in first for 100 freestyle at 58.03. Ellie Field finished the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:44.07. And Emma Whitney won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:08.36.
 
Artem Dudka for the boys finished at 2:16.96 for the 200 freestyle. Micah Tassone won the 200 medley at 3:06.88. Matt Tobin came in second for the 100 freestyle at 1:04.44. and Kyle Meretis came in third for the 100 breast stroke finishing at 1:36.00.
 
The winning margin was provided by St. JOe's 200 free relay team, which won an uncontested heat to pick up six points and give the Crusaders a 26-13 lead with one event remaining.
