Monument Mountain Boys Tennis Edges Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Wilson Sprague and Kaylo Maliki teamed up for a narrow win at second doubles that gave the Monument Mountain boys tennis team a 3-2 win over Pittsfield on Thursday.
 
Sprague and Maliki edged the Generals’ Tom Rindfuss and Liam Fitzgibbons, 7-6 (3), 6-2.
 
The Spartans swept the doubles, with the team of Jack White and Zach Goffin earning a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles.
 
Monument earned one point in singles play, where Kevin Costello won, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 3.
 
Pittsfield got wins from Evan Dempsey and Brian Lavinio at first and second singles, respectively.
