Pittsfield Volleyball Tops Taconic in Three Sets

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- The Pittsfield volleyball team Thursday won the first city rivalry event at the new Taconic High School, picking up a three-set win over the hosts behind Marie Butler's 13 kills.
 
Butler also had six aces for the Generals, who prevailed, 25-14, 25-17, 25-23.
 
Brennan Brinckle had 20 assists and seven aces for Pittsfield, which also got five kills from Alex Sondrini.
 
Taconic was led by Tori Tynan, who had six assists, three kills and a block. Kacie Chadwell had three kills, and Julian Hustable had two blocks and a kill.
