Pittsfield Boys Tennis Earns 3-2 Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Liam Fitzgibbons and Tom Rindfuss earned a three-set win at first doubles Thursday as the Pittsfield boys tennis team defeated Mount Everett, 3-2, at Reid Middle School.
 
Fitzgibbons and Rindfuss topped the Eagles' Eduardo Rodriguez and Ethan Benoit, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
 
Pittsfield picked up straight set wins from Brian Lavinio and Noah Beckwith at first and second singles, respectively.
 
At No. 3 singles, Mount Everett's Cole Duval edged Dave Charland in a 10-5 tie-breaker after they split the first two sets, 6-1, 4-6.
 
At second doubles, Mount Everett's Gray Duval and Andrew Haiss won in straight sets.
 
Pittsfield and Mount Everett meet again on Monday at the Berkshire School.
