Leonard, Winters Win to Lift Mount Greylock Girls Tennis

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Izzy Leonard and Olivia Winters earned a three-set win at second doubles to give the Mount Greylock girls tennis team a 3-2 win over Lenox on Monday.
 
Leonard and Winters defeated the tandem of Carolyn Cass and Emma Butler, 7-6 (8-6), 2-6, 6-3  as the Mounties swept the doubles points.
 
At first doubles, Emma Stankiewicz and Oriana Van Slycke earned a 6-0, 6-2 win.
 
Mount Greylock’s lone singles point came from Charlotte Sanford at No. 2. She prevailed, 6-4, 6-4.
 
Lenox got points from Morgan Hayden and Sarah Baron, who each survived three-set matches.
 
At No. 1, Hayden beat Mia VanDeurzen, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
 
At No. 3, Baron edged Hannah Gilooly, 7-6 (7-5), 5-7, 6-3.
