PALMER, Mass. -- Ozzie Weber hit a sacrifice fly with one out in the top of the seventh to score Austin Buda for the winning run in McCann Tech’s 4-3 win over Pathfinder on Wednesday.

The Hornets went to the seventh trailing, 3-2.

Landon Champney started the winning rally with a double to right. Buda then hit a ground ball but reached when Pathfinder opted to go to third to try to keep Keaton West (running for Champney) from advancing.

Buda stole second to put two runners in scoring position for Luke Thomas, who drove in West with a single to left to tie the game.

Weber’s single then put the Hornets on top.

Aaron Livsey went to the mound in the bottom of the frame and struck out two to pick up a save and make a winner of starter Nick Gilman, who struck out six and walked none, allowing just one earned run in six innings of work.

Thomas went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead McCann Tech’s offense.

The Hornets (6-3) go to Smith Vocational on Thursday.
