SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Cavan Brady threw a one-hitter Wednesday to lead the Mount Everett baseball team to a 2-0 win over Lenox.

Brady struck out nine and did not allow a hit after a Jacob Munch bunt single to lead off the game. The only other Lenox baserunners reached on Eagles’ errors.

At the plate, Brady helped his cause by going 3-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs on a fifth-inning double. Jack Carpenter was 3-for-3 and scored a run.

Jett Steinman was the hard-luck loser for Lenox, striking out seven and giving up just one earned run.

Lenox (5-11) goes to Mount Greylock on Friday.

Mount Everett (8-4) is at Housatonic Valley on Thursday.
