Taconic Baseball Holds Off Late Ludlow Rally

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Taconic’s Anton Lazits got a fly ball to center fielder Austin Rachielle to leave the tying run on first base and secure a 6-4 win over Ludlow on Monday afternoon.
 
Lazits picked up the save with a third of an inning in relief of Christian Womble, who struck out 10 and walked six while allowing five hits in 6-⅔ innings of work.
 
At the plate, Womble went 2-for-3, as did Cedric Rose, Dylan Burke and Ryan Gaudette.
 
Taconic (8-3) hosts Mount Greylock on Tuesday.
