Wahconah Baseball Clinches Tourney Spot

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Wahconah baseball team defeated Drury Monday afternoon, 7-1, and clinched a spot in the Western Massachusetts Tournament, advancing its record to 10-2.
 
Wahconah pitcher Ethan Forfa pitched seven innings against the Blue Devils, throwing six strikeouts.
 
Wahconah scored three runs in the third inning to take a 3-1 lead and brought in two more runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
 
Marco Anastastio and Ty Cowdrey each had two hits for the Warriors.
 
Wahconah travels to Mount Greylock Thursday afternoon for a 4:15 start, and Drury hosts Hoosac Valley Wednesday evening at 7.
