Mount Greylock's Guest Leads Way in Win Over Wahconah

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- The Mount Greylock baseball team Saturday jumped out to a 5-1 lead after two innings and hung on for a 6-3 win over Wahconah.
 
Philip Guest was key at the plate and on the mound for the Mounties (2-0). With a bat, he was 2-for-2 with a double and two runs batted in.
 
He also went five innings on the hill without allowing a run, striking out three and allowing just one hit in the process.
 
Cal Messina was 2-for-4 with a couple of stolen bases, and Dom Paris had a hit, stole a base, scored a run and drove one home in the win.
 
Wahconah got hits from Dane Campbell, Caden Frazier and Anthony Dondiego. Tanner Hill went the distance on the mound, allowing just three earned runs.
 
Wahconah (1-2) goes to Taconic on April 30.
 
Mount Greylock hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
