GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Michael Goretti singled to the right side to drive in two runs in a three-run fifth inning as the Monument Mountain baseball team Monday came from behind to beat Mount Greylock, 7-4.

Graham Herrick started the winning rally when he was hit by a pitch. Kyle Gochey followed with a single to center to put two men aboard, and a balk moved them both into scoring position for Goretti.

He delivered the RBIs to tie the score, 4-4.

Max Joyner then singled, and Kade Grober bunted both men over. Goretti scored the winning run on an RBI groundout by Dylan Tinker.

In the sixth, Jackson Blanchard tripled in a run and scored on a Herrick sacrifice fly to provide the final margin.

Goretti went 2-for-2 at the plate. Tyler Wade was 2-for-3 with a double.

Wade also earned the win on the mound, striking out three and allowing three earned runs in six innings of work. Herrick pitched a scoreless seventh to pick up the save.

Phillip Guest went five innings on the mound for Mount Greylock, allowing five earned runs. He also went 2-for-3 with a double at the plate. Jude Rorke went 3-for-3 with three RBIs for the Mounties.

Mount Greylock (11-5) hosts Pittsfield on Wednesday.

Monument Mountain (15-3) is off until Saturday, when it plays Wahconah in the first round of the Wahconah Tournament.
