Rindfuss Powers Pittsfield Baseball Against Spartans

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Patrick Rindfuss went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and two runs batted in on Wednesday to lead the Pittsfield baseball team to a 7-3 win over Monument Mountain.
 
Christian Marchbanks went 1-for-3 with two RBIs in an eight-hit Pittsfield attack.
 
Josh Lennon earned the win on the mound, striking out two in 4-⅔ innings of work. Collin Merwin allowed no earned runs in 2-⅓ innings of relief.
 
Cole Bassalion went 2-for-3 with a double, and Cam Raifstanger went 2-for-4 for the Spartans. Arthur Labrie struck out four in six innings of work on the mound in the loss.
 
Monument Mountain (4-6) goes to Wahconah on Friday.
 
Pittsfield (7-2) takes a five-game winning streak into Friday’s rematch against Taconic.
