LENOX, Mass. -- Michael Downer hit a walk off double in the bottom of the eighth to give the Lenox baseball team a 6-5 win over Drury on Friday afternoon at War Memorial Field.

The Blue Devils came back from a 2-0 deficit early and grabbed a 5-4 lead in the top of the eighth when Thaylen Harrison tripled and Ryan Dube brought him home with a sacrifice fly to right.

But Lenox (9-7) rallied for two in the bottom of the eighth to make a winner of reliever Connor Hanson.

Downer went 2-for-4 at the plate, and Noah Hunter was 3-for-5 for the Millionaires.

Harrison was 4-for-t with a double to go along with the triple, and David Beebe was 4-for-5 with a double for the Blue Devils.

Dubie took the loss with two innings of relief of Nate Hillard, who was tagged with three runs, all unearned.

Drury has lost six straight, but if you take out the 16-0 drubbing at the hands of undefeated Taconic, the Blue Devils are being outscored by a margin of 29-20 in that stretch with four one-run losses.

Drury (2-12) is scheduled to go to Great Barrington for a makeup game against Monument Mountain on Sunday.

Lenox will look for its 10th win of the season on Monday when it hosts Mount Everett.
