SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Connor Guyette doubled in two runs and scored in a three-run seventh inning to lead McCann Tech to a 7-5 win over Commerce on Monday in the Western Massachusetts Division 4 quarter-finals.

 

Fifth-seeded McCann (17-5) took a 7-3 lead into the bottom of the seventh and held off Commerce’s comeback bid.

 

Austin Miller and Robert Matte III combined to strike out five and allow three earned runs on the mound.

 

Miller also went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, and Charles Bohl III went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.

 

McCann earned a spot in Thursday’s sectional semi-final against Smith Academy at Western New England University.
