GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Sam Cormier went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, and the Monument Mountain baseball team Saturday scored seven first-inning runs en route to a 10-3 win over Hoosac Valley.

 

Michael Goretti doubled, and Jared Henry struck out seven in four innings of work on the mound to earn the win.

 

Henry Sniezek went 3-for-4 with a triple and an RBI to lead Hoosac Valley’s offense.

 

The Hurricanes (0-1) host Lenox on Monday.

 

Monument Mountain (1-0) hosts Mount Greylock on Monday.
