03:21PM / Sunday, April 14, 2019

DALTON, Mass. -- Robbie Genaway and Aidan Borowski hit sacrifice flies in a four-run seventh inning that propelled the Wahconah baseball team to a 7-5 win over Monument Mountain in Saturday's Wahconah Tournament Championship game.

Borowski also doubled and had another RBI as Wahconah made the most of its five hits.

The game-winning rally, which broke a 3-3 tie going to the final inning of regulation, started when Tanner Hill drew a leadoff walk.

Caden Frazier followed with a single, and Gabe Davis worked a walk to load the bases, setting the stage for Jake Harte to drive in the go-ahead run with another walk.

Bob Archambault doubled, drove in a run and scored twice.

Harte earned the win on the mound with six innings of work. He struck out four, walked one and allowed two earned runs. Frazier finished by holding off a Monument comeback bid with a two-run seventh.

Kyle Gochey went 3-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs for the Spartans (1-1), who are scheduled to host Taconic on Monday.

Wahconah (3-0) hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
