Freshman pitcher Sean Davis tossed a no-hitter, while the offense of the McCann Tech baseball team cleaned up in a 15-0 mercy-rule win over Westfield Voc. on Friday that gave the Hornets enough wins to qualify for the Western Mass. tournament.

Facing a must-win situation, senior starter Mike Chappell was as good as it gets, carrying a no-hitter until the sixth inning, striking out nine and walking four to lead the McCann Tech baseball team to a 2-1 win over Gateway on Thursday.

The McCann Tech baseball team had an inning to forget on Monday, making three errors in the fourth inning alone to allow Pathfinder to score seven runs on its way to an 11-1 win at Joe Wolfe Field.

The McCann Tech baseball team locked up its second straight double-digit win on Thursday, collecting 18 hits on its way to a 19-3 road win over Smith Voc.

Nine different players reached base as the McCann Tech baseball team pounded out 18 hits in all to carry the Hornets to a 17-2 mercy-rule win over Pioneer Valley Christian on Wednesday.

Starter Justin McCloud allowed five hits in a complete-game effort, while the Franklin Tech baseball team broke out for four runs in the top of fourth inning to break away for a 7-3 road win over McCann Tech on Saturday.

Sophomore Justine Racine and freshman Sean Davis each drove in a pair of runs for the McCann Tech baseball team, which pounded out 10 hits in all in a 9-5 road win over Smith Academy on Friday.

A two-run home run by senior Steven Barbeau pushed the game into extra innings, but the Granby baseball team finally broke through for two runs in the top of the 11th to give the Rams a 5-3 extra-inning win over McCann Tech on Wednesday.

Leading 7-1 after two innings, things fell apart for the McCann Tech baseball team when it gave up 13 runs combined over the fourth and fifth frames, leading to a 19-7 home loss to Smith Academy on Monday.

Senior catcher Nate Gutmann just missed out on hitting for the cycle on Friday, instead going 3 for 5 with a home run and three RBI to carry the McCann Tech baseball team to a 13-5 win over St. Mary's.

Senior outfielder Steven Barbeau was too much for Westfield Voc. on Monday, going 4 for 4 with a double and three RBI to lead the McCann Tech baseball team to its first win of the year, a 14-2 road victory over the Tigers.

McCann Tech pitchers TJ Therrien and Sean Davis combined to strike out 13 batters but two costly errors allowed Dean Tech to score five unearned runs, giving the Golden Hawks an 8-4 win at Joe Wolfe Field on Thursday.
