NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Chicopee Comp boys lacrosse team outscored McCann Tech 4-0 in the fourth quarter Monday to earn a 13-6 win.

Justin Meczywor scored four goals for the Hornets (2-5) who got a goal and two assists from Jason Delisle and a goal from Zavier Martin-Levesque.

“It was a good game,” McCann Tech coach Paul Lange said. “It was a much different outcome from last year. Last year we played them our first game of the year and lost 16-1 or 17-1 or something like that. This year, we showed we could hang with them. We just didn't have the depth to hang with them in the fourth quarter.”

Quinn Weslowski and Nate Whitehead each had a hat trick for Chicopee.

Taden Bolte and Josh Petit combined to make 18 saves for the Hornets.

McCann Tech goes to Monson on Wednesday.
