DALTON, Mass. -- The Wahconah boys lacrosse team defeated Taconic Monday afternoon, 15-1, at Wahconah High School.

The "W" was one Wahconah was looking for after coming off losses to Brattleboro, Vt., and Mount Greylock.

"They came out, they responded, we were ready," Wahconah coach Zach Sondrini said. "We're coming off a two-game losing streak so we needed to respond and they did."

Wahconah (7-3) held a 10-1 lead at half-time. Taconic got on board with four minutes left in the second quarter.

Quinn Ceasar led way with eight goals.

Wahconah takes on Pittsfield Thursday afternoon.

"We have a huge one on Thursday against Pittsfield High," Sondrini said. "We need to clean up our penalties, they play really hard, but our penalties need to be cleaned up."

Taconic (0-10) hosts Lee on Thursday.
